The family of God
We believe in baptism,
symbolizing the death of the "old" sinful nature,
and a spiritual rebirth.
Salvation / Conversion
Is that moment when you receive the gift of God's saving grace by believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth that Jesus is God's one and only son, crucified on a cross, and arisen from the dead. (Romans 10:8-11)
Is the starting point and continuing process of your personal relationship with the Triune God - Father, Son, & Holy Spirit. (Philippians 1:6 and 2:12-13)
Is what secures that your eternal life will be spent with God in Heaven. (John 3:16 and 2 Corinthians 1:21-22)
Washes you clean before God so that your sins are forgiven. (Romans 6:1-14)
Water Baptism by Immersion…
Has no saving power whatsoever.
Is a public confession and demonstration of your salvation.
Is an act of obedience by following the example of Jesus.
Is a powerful and meaningful experience that serves as a pointed reminder of your salvation.
"We Believe!"
We believe in God the Father Almighty. He is the creator, sustainer, and ruler of the universe. He is holy love which means He is both set apart from us as well as committed to us and present with us. Or in other words, He is not a person, but He is personal and seeks to be in fellowship with His creation. God the Father is the first person of the Holy Trinity.
Gen. 1-3, Exodus 3:5-6, Exodus 20:1-11, Isaiah 6:1-8, Matt. 6:9-15
We Believe God lives forever in three persons; the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Matt. 28:19
We believe that the Bible is God's Word to the world, speaking to us with authority and without error.
2 Tim. 3:16-17
We believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ the Son, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His death for us on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the Father, and His personal, physical return to rule the earth in power and love.
Jn. 1:14-18; 1 Thess. 4:16-18
We believe that all mankind is lost in sin and needs to turn from it and trust personally in the Savior, Jesus Christ; all need to be born anew by the Holy Spirit's power into God's family.
Eph. 2:1-10; John. 3:5-7
We believe the Holy Spirit lives in us as believers and brings love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control into our lives. He works in and through us with His charismatic gifts.
Gal. 5:22-23; 1 Cor. 12:7-11
We believe in the resurrection of every person; to eternal life for the believer and eternal judgment for the lost.
Matt. 25:31-46
We believe in unity for all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ and seek community together. We want to become more like Him in every way, who is the head of His body, the Church. We are called to love Him and one another and are enabled to do this only as His life flows in and through us.
